ChowNow's online ordering and branded app
ChowNow says restaurants can take commission-free orders through their own website and branded mobile app.6 It says a branded iOS and Android app comes with every ChowNow plan, and that its team builds the app and sends it to both app stores.4 ChowNow says the restaurant's only task is enrolling in the Apple Developer Program, and only for the iOS app.4 It says one menu update in the ChowNow dashboard reaches the app, the website and other connected ordering channels.4 It says the app comes off the App Store and Google Play about two to three weeks after a restaurant cancels.4 ChowNow says its Order Aggregation brings DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub orders into one dashboard and on into the POS.3 It says Flex Delivery sends a driver through partner networks once an order is marked ready.106

How ChowNow connects to a POS
ChowNow says it integrates with more than 20 POS systems, including Toast, Square, Clover and Revel.8 It says orders go from the diner into the POS and kitchen without re-keying or a second tablet.8 ChowNow says its fully integrated POS connections include two-way menu sync and real-time 86ing, which removes a sold-out item from every channel.8 ChowNow says its Toast link is a direct, native integration with no third-party middleware.2 It says the menu must be pushed from Toast rather than imported by ChowNow, and that the link needs an active Toast Partner Connect subscription.2 It also warns that Toast pricing set by item size, by time of day or as a negative amount may not carry over reliably.2 ChowNow says its Square link imports the whole Square item library, inactive items included, and does not yet send scheduled orders to the scheduled-orders view in Square.1
