Flipdish says it has launched an AI Phone Agent, a conversational AI that answers a restaurant's calls so that no call or order is missed.6 It says the agent answers calls, takes orders, suggests extras, accepts payment and passes the order to the POS or kitchen printer.6 Flipdish says the agent is trained on each restaurant's menu and brand voice.6 The company says the agent can take several calls at once and passes calls that are not orders to staff when a person is needed.5 Flipdish says phone orders count towards the restaurant's Flipdish loyalty programme, so callers earn rewards as they would online.6
